The Magic Fruit 0.o

Ah, the wondrous acai berry. The acai berry is an inch-long reddish, purple fruit. It comes from the acai palm tree (Euterpe oleracea), which is native to Central and South America. Many believe that this is the key to being healthy and and awesome. This is because of all th legit scientific research being done about it.

One reason for all of it's super rad publicity is that it contains substances called anthocyanins and flavonoids. Anthocyanins and flavonoids are powerful antioxidants, helping protect the body from harmful free radicals that turn your hot body into a saggy prune. It also plays a role in the body's immune system. This is shown to reduce the chances of heart disease and cancers.

Another reason why everybody's raving about it is the fact that people have found that when eating (or drinking) the acai berry, they not only have exra nutrition in their diet, but they also lose weight. However, very few studies have been done to prove this fact.

But if not for the weight loss, you might want to try it simply because it has just about the highest antioxidant concentration of any fruit found in nature.

Anyways, it's Thursday. And I'm not about to crack the Rebecca Black joke. Ms. Young's been bagging on 25k for their "inappropriate" blog posts....maybe I should go check that ;) Also, TAKS TOMORROW EWWWWWW. Especially since it's math. I may not seem like it, but I am retarded at math. I'm an extremely visual person, and the only thing I can do in geometry is the net stuff. Numbers just don't work in my head. Are you the same?

Brittanie's Blog of Rebececa Black

Hey guys it Brittanie. I just wanted to let you know that it is THURSDAY!!!!! And you know what that means, I bet you don’t, IT MEANS THAT TOMORROW IS FRIDAY, FRIDAY, GOT TO GET DOWN ON FRIDAY!!!!. Hehe just kidding, but I wasn’t kidding about the whole its Friday thing. But it’s also good Friday so that means we don’t have to come to school tomorrow. YAYY!!!!. So yeah I just wanted to let you know that just in case you didn’t know that, and I would also like to talk about Rebecca Black. As you know, everybody in school knows that song, and yes I know everybody hates it. I know, but I was reading online and even though people hate her, she is getting death threats. One said “don’t hate you because your famous, your famous because we hate you” And that was only a typical comment. Another said, “I hope you cut yourself”. Another said, “I hope you’ll get an eating disorder so you’ll look prettier, and I hope you cut yourself and die”. When I read this it makes me feel sorry for this girl. I mean, I don’t like the song either but that doesn’t mean I’m going to go out sending the poor girl some death threats. I mean that is way beyond crossing the line. She is even under police protection. So guys lay off seriously, because she is only t13, and I’m pretty sure you have better things to do in life then to pick on an innocent girl. I mean really, GROW UP!! And by the way she got what she wanted. I say this because she only wanted the song to be stuck in people’s head. And she got that, even if you do hate the song. :P

Some RAD Leads -.-

1. As a teenager, you always wanted to look like your favorite rockstar or celebrity. As an adult, Lauren Smith Ford has gotten as close as anyone can get to that dream. Lauren Smith Ford is a stylist, and has created outfits for many famous people such as INSERT NAME, INSERT NAME, and INSERT NAME. "INSERT REALLY AWESOME QUOTE ABOUT STYLING THESE PEOPLE," she explains.

2. A breeze rustles her hair as Austin stylist Lauren Smith Ford takes a seat at her cluttered desk in her office. While many other adults would have a desk piled with reciepts, files, and sticky notes, Lauren's desk displays a mix of designer outfits, celebrity profiles, and photos of her hard work's results on stage. "INSERT SUPER LEGIT QUOTE ABOUT HOW WORKING AS A STYLIST IS," she says. "INSERT SECOND CLAUSE FO REAL."

Yeah, I haven't actually interviewed her yet, but here are some ideas! :D

Brittanie's leads

Narrative:
The mood is calm, the air is full of the smell of homemade tortillas. I cant help but get distracted by my surroundings. Then I ask her, "So has jelwery making always been a hobby for you"?

Direct quote:
Come sit down, lets talk about your future.

Narrative:
She sits down egarly waiting for the next question im going to ask her. Then suddendly the door bell rings, or is it just the light bulb lighting up at the top of her head.

Leads CLN

Descriptive- Mrs. Lee sat in front of the sewing machine; she concentrated on the task on hand. The rooms was dusty and on the floor where pieces of fabric. She loved her job and she enjoys making clothes no matter how intricate or how simple she will always get the job done on time.

Direct Quote- “It was as good as a business could get” Mrs. Lee said she has been in the sewing business for almost thirty years. She enjoyed her years of being a designer and seamstress; she loved meeting new people and learning the new experiences that her business gave her.

Contrast and Compare- Mrs. Lee never thought she would be a designer and a seamstress. She always thought she would forever be a housewife, until she moved to Honduras with her family.

Procrastination Sweeps the Nation

Hey, you guys! It's Rrrrania, here to update y'all on how my feature story's going. So we were supposed to interview our peeps like 2 weeks ago, however, for me, that never happened. As some of y'all might know, I'm interviewing a stylist named Lauren Smith Ford. So far, three dates have been scheduled and two have been missed. In fact, I still have not met her yet. We're thinking about doing it Sunday, and if not, I'll just be emailing her the questions and askin for her to send me a high-quality supermegalegit photo of herself (which will save like. five thousand hours of me typing the transcription).
Actually, I probably would have done so by now if not for the fact that I won't be able to structure my next question on the spot based on her last one, and I'll have to stick with what I previosuly came up with. AND I'm super excited about meeting her and interviewing her and taking a picture of her 'cause then I'll feel like some totes awesome journalist type. >:B
ON A LESS COMPLICATED NOTE, it's FRIDAY. PLEASE DON'T RUIN IT BY SINGING THE SONG.

Complications with Language

Ok, so interviewed my grandmother who is a retired designer and seamstress for my feature story. It was kind of weird to be interviewing one of your close family members especially when she can't speak English. So I had to translate everything and it was a pain, but I think it was worth it since i got to learn so much about my grandmother in her younger years. She also showed me her designs that are so beautiful.(pictures will be on the magazine.)

Hey Its for my feature :)

Hey guys its me Brittanie again. And guess what, today IS FRIDAY. Im pretty sure your all exicted too. Well anyways that wasnt what I was going to tell you about. What I was going to tell you about was about my feature story. I just wanted to let you guys and girls know that it is going great. This weekend I'm going to be sending my aunt an e-mail because I found out that my image was too pixelated and that it would look bad if it were going to be printed. So when I herd about this, I was sad :(. But now im happy because my group members helped my feature story look even better then it did before :). Other than that I think my fature story is forming up pretty well. I say this becayse last weekend I interviewed my aunt and she gave me lots of stories about the questions I asked her. So thats good :). One other problem I incountered was that I need more photos of her jelwery because the ones I have look too dedundent, and my group thinks that I should change it :(. But other then that my feature story is looking good. I already wrote down and transcribed all the interview and I think im ready for this. I also organized all my information into group in which I want to talk about them. So the stroy is looking good, even the layout looks good. But to honest, i think 25K looks pretty good. So if your reading this, go check out their layout. Im not rtryign to put anybody else down, its just the 25K is the only group that i have seen their layout, but i think you should go check out others peoples layout too.

Well thanks for reading this.
HAVE A HAPPY SUPER DUPER EXICTED FRIDAY
HEHE :)
