SILLY BANDS: Funny or a Replacement for a Bad Pickup-Line?

Hey guys I'm Brittanie, If you want to check out some cool stuff about silly bands, check out this link http://www.wallofstyles.com/2010/09/04/silly-bands-not-just-a-fashion-statement/

I was looking online and I found out that silly bands are a great way to hit on a guy at the same time making a new fashion statement. For example, a man was interviewed, and he said that he went out on a date with a girl and she gave him a silly band. He said that when he received the silly band, he felt important. He also said that when he goes around town people notice his fashionable silly bands. But as things are starting to progress, silly bands are starting to get worse. Silly bands are not only used to make a fashion statement, they are also being used at clubs and bars to make a love connection with somebody. New York Daily News says that “Adults on the prowl are using the colorful bands instead of bad pickup lines to make love connections.” As you can see, silly bands aren’t only used for children to go around showing off; they are also for adult to have personal close connections and attractions with each other. So if you see adults wearing silly bands think to yourself, are they trying to make a love connection with somebody, hit on a guy, or trying to make a new cool looking fashion statement?

  1. That's a bit awkward...
It reminds me of a tv show that used colored bracelets to show how "experienced" you are in relationships...
    creepy.

  2. I don't think its necessary to read this much into a rubber band. If people decide to use these bands to indicate information about their relationships, great, but they shouldn't expect other people to analyze their accessories.
